What Do You Know About Television?

Television is a piece of equipment with a screen that receives and shows moving pictures with sound. It was first invented in 1920 and was invented by a man named John Logie Baird.

The early televisions were characterized by their tiny screens. Early television pictures were black and white, whereas modern televisions nowadays  are in all sorts of different colors. Electronic television system was developed later on and proved to work better than mechanical systems so it was replaced. In the late 1800's, Paul Gottlieb Nipkow,  a student in Germany, developed the first ever mechanical module of television. Some televisions work from the same basic principle. The tiny dots of light produced on television screens are called pixels. A television produces a series of tiny dots on a screen that as a whole it appears as an image. People can control the television with a remote.

Today television is very entertaining and has a lot of different channels that you can discover.

Happy Birthday To......

On Friday morning my aunty picked me up from my grandpa’s house to go to the movies for my cousin’s 13th birthday. I was so excited, that I always rang my cousin to check when they are coming.

I was still asleep when I heard a knock at the door. ‘Knock, knock, knock’ I got up and ran to the door, opened it and said “Finally you are here”. Then I got my shoes, put them on, said goodbye to my grandpa and sister, and got in the car.

When we drove off to Sylvia Park, we walked in and saw a long line. We were at the counter, and my aunty bought four tickets to watch The Croods, we didn’t buy any popcorn, because my aunty bought chips, drinks (G-Force) and chocolate, from Pak n Save. We went straight to the Cinemas and sat down.

There was the big screen just ads showing up, then there was the beginning of The Croods. There is six people in that family.

First, Grug the dad- He hates his wifes mom, because she says stuff about him by saying, “Look at you, you are huge”. second, Ep the oldest sister- she doesn’t want to live in the cave, and her dad always disagree with her. third, Guy- His family died in tar, when he was young and is very smart. Fifth, Sandy the youngest member of the family- she is really good at hunting. Sixth, Belt- Belt is Guy’s pet sloth, he keeps Guy’s pants up. Seventh, Thunk - He thinks that he has no brain. Eighth Ugga the mother- she understands why Ep doesn’t want to live in the cave and she tries to cheer up Grug because he doesn’t want Ep to be near guy. Ninth Grand- Not very much known of.

We had so much fun that the movie was finished, my favourite part was when Thunk said “Roll over Douglas” and when he did, he fell down where

We stopped by Burger King, went inside and ordered. I got B.K chicken meal and the same as my aunty and cousin, but my young cousin got double cheese burger. I was the most fun day I had with my aunty and my cousins.

Heart
A heart is a hollow muscular organ that pumps blood through your body. If we do not have a heart we will not be alive.

Our heart does not shape like a heart , Our heart looks like this.
Your heart pumps blood around your body to all the organs, muscles, and other parts of the body . Most heart attack are caused by a blood clot that can block coronary arteries (this word is part of the heart - left Coronary Artery and right Coronary Arteries).

can not see your heart but you know it is their because it is pumping and  it keeps you alive.

Have A Safe Trip

On Sunday, my family and I went to my nana’s house to say goodbye to my grandma and my aunty, because they are flying back to Australia. While I was sitting on the chair my cousins, aunty and uncle knocked on the door.

My aunty said to my cousin and I “Go to the back and set up the table so nana and grandma can eat”. While they were eating I was washing the dishes and my cousin was drying them and putting them in the cupboards. It was 2pm and it is nearly time for my grandma and aunty to go to the airport, so my cousins, aunty and uncle got ready to go home as well.

As they were leaving my aunt ( the one that is flying back off to Australia) kindly gave my two cousins, my brother, sister and twenty dollars for our lunch. During that time, my grandma and aunty were packing up and putting their bags inside the car. Few minutes later they were getting ready to go.

I was not ready to say goodbye to them because I did not want them to leave, but they have to be at the airport so I hugged them and said “Good bye and have a safe trip”. They left and got ready to go to to buy.

I really do miss my grandma and aunty because they only visited for four days.

Power......

“Good morning class”
“Good morning Mr Clark”

Today Room 7 and 8 had Technicraft. Year 7’s walked into Mr Clark's classroom and he welcomed us in. We all grabbed a seat and sat down. Mr Clark was talking about what we had done last week.

We started our day off with a, with a little game of handball. We played by ourselves, then we got into partners. Asia and I were partners  and we played until the bell rang, we won against the other team. Then we went and had morning tea. I had two oreos and a packet of teddy bears.

When the bell rang, I ran back to class and waited until Mr Clark came to open the door. When all of the students went in, we were all told to gather around in a semicircle at the front. Few minutes later, we went to our tables and started to make an electricity circuit with one battery, a light bulb and a holder to hold the light bulb.

Agnes and I were partners. We were trying to find the black and red wire so we can connect it to the battery and the magnet to switch the light bulb on. Agnes told Mr Clark when we completed that.

He told us to do the series. It sounded hard to Agnes and I, so we just added another light bulb. We showed Mr Clark then he told us to go on the parallel. We were struggling fix it, we used 6 light and it still didn’t work it didn’t work so we just fixed the wire and changed the battery. “Five more minutes everybody”, Mr Clark said.  In my head I was thinking that we were in My Kitchen Rules.

“T-i-m-e-’-s u-p step away from the table, come and gather around here, Mr Clark said.
“Great job everybody” .
“I think today 6 light bulbs is the highest, congratulations Agnes and Dehnyse you won”.
Today was an amazing day and I had so much fun exploring electronics.
